Ancient Celts marked Samhain as the most significant of the four quarterly fire festivals, taking place at the midpoint between the Autumn equinox and the Winter solstice. During this time of year, hearth fires in family homes were left to burn out while the harvest was gathered.

It was a time when the ancestors were allowed to cross over the very thin veil between this life and the next to help us. Join us in Kiltegan from the 10th to the 12th of November as we will once again sit in circle as brothers and we will drum, share council, participate in rituals, get a chance to be with ourselves and all those things that we have come to cherish on our weekends.

The weekend begins on Friday the 10th of November at 6pm with dinner and finishes at 4pm on Sunday the 12th.

We will also have our Mordháil at the weekend. This is where men get a chance to get involved in the day to day running of M.A.L.E.s Ireland and our new Elder Council will be gathered to begin in January 2024.

The cost for the weekend is €285 and this includes everything, accommodation, food and all materials you will need. We have never let money be a problem so if you find that you would like to attend but the cost is inhibiting, just drop us an email at and we will endeavour to agree on a cost that you can afford. This, as always is held in the strictest confidence.

Bring warm clothing too as if its dry we will get a chance to be outside for some of the time.
